Our Neighbors Need Us
The government shutdown has created tremendous uncertainty and shortages in the vital SNAP program that many of our neighbors rely on for their weekly groceries. To respond to this crisis, the Lively NeighborFood Market has launched a SNAP-GAP for Neighbors program – but we can only do it with your help.
Every dollar you give goes directly to providing groceries for local families and individuals who’ve lost their food assistance. This could last weeks or months. Will you help a neighbor today?

How Your Donation Helps
Through SNAP-GAP for Neighbors, we’re providing $75 per week in grocery credit for families and $50 per week for individuals who’ve lost SNAP benefits. When you donate, 100% of your contribution goes into a community fund that covers these groceries, and the Market adds an additional 10% from our own budget to amplify your impact even further.
There’s no paperwork, no barriers. Just neighbors helping neighbors get the food they need during this crisis. Whether you can give $25 or $250, your donation will directly support families in our community who are struggling right now.
We don’t know when SNAP benefits will be restored. Until they are, we’re here, and with your support, so are you.

Going Forward
When benefits are fully restored, we will donate all remaining donations to a local food pantry or holiday meal program. Additionally, the Lively NeighborFood Market is applying to become a SNAP vendor this winter (once the government reopens) and looks forward to continuing to provide access to healthy, delicious local food for all our neighbors.
How to Receive Assistance
Simply stop into the Market and present your Bridge Card – no paperwork, no barriers! We will place your grocery order on an in-house account: $50/ week for singles and $75/ week for families.
We offer a variety of fresh produce, dairy products, prepared foods, hot meals, and household essentials in our Market.
